TJ Webb

TJ Webb was a Police Officer with the City of Milford (Delaware) Police Department.  He medically retired in December of 2022 after 19 years of service.  He started his career in the patrol division. He quickly found himself in various special units including SWAT, K9, Narcotics, Criminal Investigations, and a member of the US Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force.

On December 10, 2020, TJ was serving an arrest warrant with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.  During that warrant attempt the suspect opened fire on TJ and struck him 6 times leaving him with life-threatening injuries.  TJ Was able to battle through his recovery and beat the odds that Doctors had stacked against him.

During his recovery, TJ started the “Fit 4 Duty Foundation”. Fit 4 Duty Foundation is a nonprofit whose mission is to encourage Police Officers to get involved in physical fitness to better their physical and mental health.  He’s a recipient of the American Police Hall of Fame Purple Heart, Fraternal Order of Police Medal of Valor, the United States Marshals Service Purple Heart, and the National Association of Police Organizations TopCop Award.

Since retiring. He is also the published  author of, ‘Just One More, ‘ released in November 2023. He now speaks on adversity, mental health, and building self         leadership. He presents regularly to First Responders and many corporations.

 

Amanda Webb

Amanda Webb is a devoted wife, mother, and passionate advocate for mental health. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she has extensive experience in various mental health settings, including inpatient care and trauma-focused outpatient services. Through her marriage to a law enforcement officer, Amanda has gained a deep understanding of the unique mental health challenges first responders and their families face. Her husband’s experience of surviving a critical incident, in which he was shot six times and underwent a lengthy recovery, further fueled her commitment to advocating for mental health resources for those in public service.

Together, Amanda and her husband are dedicated to helping first responders and their families not only survive but thrive in the face of adversity.

Surviving the Storm” is a course designed to equip first responder spouses and partners with the knowledge, skills, and strategies to manage the unique challenges they face, from dealing with the stresses of critical incidents to navigating the everyday demands of life at home. The course focuses on building resilience, coping mechanisms, and a supportive community to help first responder families thrive amidst the ups and downs of this rewarding but demanding lifestyle.
